A Typical Retreat

Noosa River

Daily Schedule

What you can expect Whilst every retreat is unique in its own way, here’s a sample of what you can expect when you join a Kanu Kapers journey.
You’ll meet at the Boreen Point boat ramp, pack your gear and learn to handle your kayak. Then you will paddle through the scenic waterways to the upper Noosa River, to the base camp to settle in.

The first 2 days feature the adventure based component of the retreat, on day two we paddle our kayaks to a more remote section of the Great Sandy National Park and walk to the Cooloola Sand Patch.  Here tired spirits are renewed.

On the last day, Day 5, we break camp and paddle to Kinaba. Here the water taxi collects us to cross Lake Cootharaba and back to Boreen Point – refreshed and inspired.
The rest of the time is devoted to your individual journey. You’ll be introduced to structured exercises of self-discovery interspersed with one-on-one sessions with facilitators. You will discover the incredible healing gifts of silence.

On our journey we will discover an abundance of wildlife and local flora, which will delight and inspire you.  We will see prehistoric goannas, majestic sea eagles, mysterious manta rays and tranquil water lilies, plus many other unexpected surprises.
